Scrapbooking Tips
I'd like to thank one of our sponsors for
bringing us this page:

These are a some of my favorite scrapbooking
tips:
- Always test out new colors and new templates before
adding them to your pages.
- Always make a second set of your photos.
- Try to use papers that show off your photo, versus take
away from the photo. Afterall, the focus should be on the
photo, not the design of the paper.
- Add dates to the back of your photos so that when
you're ready to add them to your scrapbook, you'll remember
when they were taken.
- You can use rubber stamps and turn solid paper into
patterned paper. Always test the stamp prior to stamping
onto the final paper.
- Lay out your entire page prior to using adhesive. You
may find you wish to move something just a bit before you
connect it to the page.
- Don't throw away old buttons. Buttons make great
embellishments on scrapbook pages.
- Large pizza boxes work wonderfully for storing
scrapbook paper. Next time you order pizza, ask for a large
empty box. I've never been turned down when I've
asked.
- Try using dental floss to lift up photos you do not
want in your album, but you've already put down.
- To take photos of your layout, put the page on the
floor and stand above it. Always take the photo in
daylight. Your photo will come out lighter.
- If you attend a wedding, consider collecting photos of
the couples first year of marriage to make them a scrapbook
for their first anniversary.
- Keep a disposable camera your trunk or glove box for
those unexpected photo opportunities.
