How to Make a Scrapbook
Learning how to make a scrapbook can allow you to give a very special, very personal gift to a friend or family member. I also find making scrapbooks to be very relaxing. I believe the greatest joy of creating a scrapbook is that there is no right or wrong. Each scrapbook is unique. Some of mine are very simple, others are what my kids call very busy.
Scrapbooking can seem overwhelming due the vast number of choices available. However there are really only 3 basic supplies you'll need to make your first scrapbook. You'll need an album, some paper and adhesive.
Let's talk about albums first. You can choose 6x6, 8x8, or 12x12. The 8x8 are my favorties. They are not too big, but can hold 3 or sometimes 4 pictures per page. I've used both the 3 ring albums and the post bound albums. I prefer the post bound albums. I know others who find the 3 ring albums much easier to work with. When adding refill pages, it's a much quicker process with the 3 ring album. Again, it's a personal preference.
These are all pictures of post bound albums:

This is a 3 ring album:

The inside looks like a 3 ring binder.
The inside protector pages are the same, clear plastic, acid free and lignin free to best protect your photos. Refill pages can be purchased for both albums. Both types of albums hold several pages and can grow as you add more photos.
The next item you'll need to create your scrapbook is scrapbook paper
